AUSTIN -- After arguably the best stretch of his college career thus far, Texas sophomore guard Jase Febres has been tabbed as the Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning.
Febres turned in back-to-back career performances this past week. During Wednesday's 84-83 overtime loss to Baylor in Waco, Febres tied his previous career high with 23 points and hit 7 of 14 from behind the 3-point line.
Then, during Saturday's 86-69 win over Iowa State at home, Febres notched a new career high, dropping 26 points behind a sizzling 8-for-10 day from beyond the arc.
