Texas golfer Doug Ghim wins 2018 Ben Hogan Award

On Monday night at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas Longhorns golfer Doug Ghim received collegiate golf’s most prestigious award. Ghim capped a remarkable year by winning the 2018 Ben Hogan Award for the nation’s top golfer. He beat out two junior finalists in Collin Morikawa (California) and Braden Thornberry (Ole Miss) for the award.

Ghim joins Jeff Fahrenbruch as the second Longhorn to win the Ben Hogan Award. Jordan Spieth (2012) and Beau Hossler (2016) were finalists for this award, as well.

This is just one of many of the major achievements that Ghim has earned this year.
