When new Texas Longhorns head coach Sean Miller met with the media two weeks ago for his introductory press conference, he had a simple message for star guard Tre Johnson after one season on the Forty Acres.
“What I would say to him is that he needs to go. That’s the best decision for him and his family,” Miller said.
Projected as a one-and-done before before he even set foot on campus, Johnson made his long-awaited and obvious decision made public on Tuesday by declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft in an appearance on ESPN.
