AUSTIN -- The Texas men's basketball team is losing a member of its backcourt.
Junior guard Elijah Mitrou-Long announced Thursday night that he intends to transfer from the program. Mitrou-Long spent the last two seasons with the Longhorns.
"I've decided to take my talent elsewhere and finish my last year at the collegiate level," Mitrou-Long said in a statement he tweeted from his Twitter account. "This journey has been one that I wouldn't change for anything and I'm ready for the next chapter in my book."
