ESPN is about done dropping its speculative lists ahead of the start of Week 1 of the 2019 college football regular season. But Week 1 hasn’t officially arrived yet. Texas football fans have to wait about five more full days before their team will take back to the field for the first time since April in front of thousands of spectators at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Aug. 31.
But ESPN does think that there’s one younger member of this Texas Longhorns football program that will be vital in how the College Football Playoff picture for this team will shake out.
