Texas football enters the 2018 regular season with mixed levels of hype, some considering them to be a top 25 program come the fall. Yet, a few things always need to come together for a team that finished with less than eight wins, like the Longhorns, to reach that level of hype and excitement. Although, this program does have the talent level to easily accomplish such a feat.
A big piece of the offensive puzzle for head football coach Tom Herman to fit is the running back situation. Landing grad transfer Tre Watson was huge, but the Horns might have other plans for who will be the primary running back.
