When Caden Sterns joined the Texas football program in February of 2018 everyone in the building knew this guy was going to be special, and he has not disappointed.
It was recently announced that Sterns won the Big 12’s Defensive Freshman of the Year Award. He is the eighth Longhorn in history and first since Malik Jefferson in 2015 to take home the hardware.
Sterns also received All-Big 12 first team honors.
Sterns broke on to the scene in the Spring where he had a very impressive camp, separating himself in a talented freshman group of defensive backs.
