It was quite the difficult week for both Texas football and the USC Trojans in Week 2. While the Longhorns and Trojans faced vastly different opponents skill wise, both showed some obvious flaws. And, both USC and Texas were ranked in the top 25 of the AP and Coaches Poll in the preseason.
After a Week 2 defeat at the hands of the Stanford Cardinal, USC should not only lose its No. 17 ranking but also a top 25 ranking altogether. Some rankings this week, before the official release of the AP Poll, have USC ranked and some do not.
