Texas football's social media team was temporarily prevented from tweeting on Tuesday morning, as the program's Twitter account was suspended. No reason was given for the short suspension, but the Longhorns did get their account back by just after 9:30 am.
Despite the burnt orange receiving access to their account following the short suspension, damage was still done to the Longhorns' online presence. Texas dropped over 150,000 Twitter followers in the process, as well as their blue-check verification on the website.
Those who previously followed the Longhorns on Twitter must re-follow @TexasFootball to receive tweets from the program's account.
