The answer at running back for the future is quickly becoming clear for the Texas football program with the emergence of the former four-star Carthage, TX, standout Keaontay Ingram. As just a true freshman, Ingram is now getting the bulk of the carries at the midway point of the regular season. He’s even overcome some injury issues this season to currently lead all Texas football running backs in yards per carry.
It seems as if Ingram and senior running back Tre Watson are destined to split the workload out of the backfield for the rest of the season.
