To buyout both now former Texas football head coach Tom Herman and his staff, it will cost the school just shy of $25 million.
News that was really surprising to both the Big 12 landscape and college football world in general arrived for the Texas football program on the morning of Jan. 2. Texas had the news drop that it would be parting ways with its head coach after four years at the helm.
Including the cost of buying out both now former fourth-year Texas Tom Herman, along with the rest of his coaching staff, the school will pay $24 million to buyout this entire group.
