A huge outing for Texas football in Week 3 capped off the non-conference slate in style with the win over the USC Trojans. These fans couldn’t have hoped for a much better outcome from a game that was considered to be mostly in favor of the Trojans. Despite USC opening as a 3.5-point underdog from the spread, most fans around the country considered them the favorite.
What this win did more than anything for the Longhorns was delivering that signature win that head Texas football coach Tom Herman needed. Texas was so close to knocking off a top 5 ranked USC team on the road last year, but couldn’t quite pull it off in overtime.
