A big month of July fed into a good start to August for the 2020 and 2021 Texas football recruiting classes. To start of the month of August, the 2020 Texas football recruiting class got off to a hot start that carried all the way through the 11th. On Aug. 11, Texas landed a commitment from four-star Lufkin safety and a top 200 ranked 2020 high school prospect in the nation with Jerrin Thompson.
However, the focus here is on a third-year offensive coordinator for the Texas Longhorns football program Tim Beck. For the 2019 signing class for the Longhorns, wide receiver coach Drew Mehringer was the star on the coaching staff.
