Texas football posted one of the better front sevens in the nation last year in terms of both talent and production. That resulted in the Longhorns performing well stopping the run week in and week out. Texas faced some very talented running backs last season so that’s something to boast.
Last year, the Horns gave up just a hair over 100 rushing yards per game and 14 rushing touchdowns. More impressively, Texas gave up only an average of 3.01 yards per carry. That was good for the best mark in the Big 12, just ahead of the TCU Horned Frogs.
