Possibly the worst news for any Big 12 program in the early portion of the 2018 regular season was dealt to the Oklahoma Sooners. In the Week 2 battle with the Chip Kelly-coached UCLA Bruins, star running back Rodney Anderson and the Sooners were looking to stay undefeated. While Oklahoma was able to take down the Bruins by the final score of 49-21, the team lost one of its most valuable players. Texas football could be part of the impact with that injury too.
Just a few weeks out from now, the Sooners take on the Longhorns at the old Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX, for the annual meeting for the Red River Shootout.
