A huge pickup for Texas football recruiting came just out of the bye week in the form of the 19th prospect in the 2019 class. Four-star Odessa athlete Peyton Powell became that 19th pledge for the Longhorns to continue to solidify this class as worthy of a top 10 ranking in the nation.
This Permian High School product will look to fill in at either wide receiver or defensive back for the Horns. Texas football recruiting has landed a ton of talent already in both areas for the 2019 class outside of Powell. The depth in the receiving corps and the defensive backfield is set to be stacked for at least the next four to five years.
