Texas Football has steadily made progress toward the 2017 college football season. They’ve done this through the first spring practice under Tom Herman, and building a recruiting class for the next year.
UT has mostly stayed active on the recruiting front, as they’ve had players visit and made an offer to a few dozen athletes. There’s still just under nine months to get it finalized for the 2018 season, but so far, things are coming along for the new regime.
Over the weekend, Texas received their second commitment — outside linebacker, Byron Hobbs. 247Sports.com considers him a three-star prospect.
