It was mostly good news for the 2021 Texas football recruiting class on March 23 in terms of the finalist cuts that were dropped various the program’s various high school prospect targets. But the one that went awry for Texas was four-star Lamar Consolidated running back Brandon Campbell. The 5-foot-10 and 190 pound Rosenberg, TX, native dropped his top six finalist schools on March 23, and none of those were Texas.
While the Texas Longhorns football program should be fine at running back given that they signed five-star Salpointe Catholic stud Bijan Robinson in their 2020 recruiting class, missing out on Campbell isn’t a complete blow.
