Texas football added its first commit to the 2025 recruiting class on the afternoon of June 3 by landing a bit of a surprise pledge from the highly touted four-star Saraland (AL) quarterback KJ Lacey. The Alabama blue-chip quarterback Lacey was a huge get for Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian out of SEC country.
Sark and the Longhorns really made a big splash to get the 2025 class off the ground in the midst of the Texas Elite Camp weekend. Lacey committed to Texas in the midst of his first unofficial trip to Austin in 2023.
