A huge addition retroactively to the 2020 Texas football recruiting class came on April 30, with former Baylor Bears four-star Pflugerville Connally cornerback commit and signee Jahdae Barron. This 5-foot-11 and 175 pound Austin, TX, native was originally signed down to his National Letter of Intent with Baylor back in December 2019 during the Early Signing Period.
Since the Texas Longhorns football program previously only had one true cornerback commit/signee in the 2020 recruiting class, this is huge. Cornerback was one of the emerging positions of need in the 2021 recruiting class since four-star John Tyler product Kitan Crawford was the lone commit at the position last cycle.
