It was not pretty at times, but the Texas Longhorns did enough to get some measure of revenge against Kansas.
Texas took care of Kansas 42-27 in Austin to advance to 5-5 on the season and 4-3 in the Big 12 conference.
It was a revenge game of sorts after Kansas ruined the Longhorns’ 2016 season and effectively ended the Charlie Strong Era last year in Lawrence.
This year under first-year head coach Tom Herman, Texas jumped out to an early 28-7 lead. In the first quarter.
But, Kansas outscored Texas the rest of the game, including a crowd-displeasing garbage time TD with 11 seconds remaining.
