A road matchup against the Kansas Jayhawks looked to be easier than it actually was in the first half for No. 14 Texas football. Kansas gave Texas football a tough time in the first half to give them a good scare. Iran a good thing that Texas was able to piece it together more coming out of the locker room in the second half.
Coming into the game, the Texas Longhorns looked to push its two-game winning streak to three as 15.5-point favorites over the Jayhawks. Texas also wanted to get revenge on the Jayhawks for what happened in Lawrence to cap Charlie Strong’s tenure in an embarrassing loss from the 2016 season.
