The summer of 2019 will be one to remember for the Texas football recruiting department. The news of recruits continued on Friday Aug. 16 when four-star Shadow Creek High School and Pearland, TX, native safety Xavion Alford committed to the Texas Longhorns football program.
Alford is a versatile 6-foot-0 and 185 pound defensive back that held more than 40 schools on his offer sheet. The highlighting schools of his offer sheet included the Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas A&M Aggies, LSU Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines, Florida State Seminoles, USC Trojans, and Tennessee Volunteers.
This was a big win for the 2020 Texas football recruiting class since yet another defensive back gets added to this rising group of 16 commits now.
