New Texas football head coach Steve Sarkisian looks to now have a starting quarterback officially in store for this team heading into the regular season opener next weekend against the No. 23 ranked Louisiana Ragin-Cajuns. Bruce Feldman of The Athletic confirmed on Aug. 28 that Texas will be running with sophomore Hudson Card as the starting quarterback in the regular season opener.
Sark and the Longhorns rode this out for a good while to name a starting quarterback ahead of Week 1 of the college football season.
