Coming into this season, it was widely assumed that Sam Ehlinger would be a top 5 quarterback in college football and be a Heisman Trophy finalist. However, it seems at this point that while Ehlinger is still a very good quarterback for the Texas football program, he has regressed somewhat.
Last year, Ehlinger threw five interceptions the entire season; this season he threw four interceptions in one game. In addition to this, in the last 3 games he has thrown an interception that has either cost the team the game or has allowed another team to stay in the game.
