The injury report isn’t too drastic for Texas football entering the Week 2 showdown with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in the home opener at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The only player that is listed as “out” for Week 2 against Tulsa is senior wide receiver John Burt. Texas has a few players that are listed as “questionable” on the defensive side of the ball.
Burt already missed Week 1 action against the Maryland Terrapins in the extremely disappointing defeat in Landover, MD. The presence of Burt might not have done too much for the Longhorns in the 34-29 loss to Maryland, but he does provide opportunity to other deep threat wide receivers on the roster.
