David Ash had promise when he was part of the Texas Football program from 2011-2014. He often split duties with Case McCoy, but showed promise in 2012 with 2,699 passing yards and 19 touchdowns. However, multiple concussions saw Ash step away from the game of football in 2014.
In somewhat of a surprising development, Ash has been medically cleared to return to football. He’ll be at Texas’ Pro Day on March 28 to show off for NFL teams and hope to draw interest. Reid Laymance of the Houston Chronicle notes this below:
Former Texas QB David Ash has been given medical clearance to return to football.
