While the biggest candidate of the modern era from the Texas football program that could’ve been inducted into the Pro Football Hall-of-Fame was skipped out on, there is one from the past that got the recognition. An all-time great former Texas All-American defensive back from the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, Bobby Dillon, was elected into the Pro Football Hall-of-Fame with the 2020 Centennial Class earlier this week.
The other candidate from the Texas Longhorns football program that was up for induction into the Pro Football Hall-of-Fame as part of the 2020 class is the former Kansas City Chiefs superstar running back Priest Holmes.
