The first major injury news of fall camp thus far for Texas football surfaced on Aug. 9. Chip Brown of Horns247 reported on the night of Aug. 9 that true freshman defensive lineman Sydir Mitchell suffered a leg injury that “required him to be helped off the field” during a full-pads practice on the evening of Aug. 8.
Mitchell reportedly “was undergoing an MRI on Wednesday to determine the severity of the injury.” But as of the writing of this article on the night of Aug. 9, we don’t have an update yet regarding the results of Mitchell’s MRI.
