The performance of the secondary for Texas football in Week 1 was less than impressive by a good margin. Two senior cornerbacks that were supposed to lead the way for the defensive backfield for the Longhorns were largely a letdown against the Maryland Terrapins. Any way you look at, the performance out of some parts of the secondary was less than stellar.
Between running into senior defensive back P.J. Locke III on a deep ball and missing a few tackles that should’ve been pretty easy to wrap up, it was not the best showing from senior cornerback Davante Davis.
