A long process of finding out that bringing over Charlie Strong from the Louisville Cardinals to coach the Texas football program was not the best move made this fan base impatient. Now that current head Texas football coach Tom Herman is entering his second full year with the program, he’s almost halfway through the amount of time that Strong spent on the Forty Acres.
Strong coached the Horns for three seasons until he was let go following the 2016 campaign. Herman was brought over from the Houston Cougars immediately following the end of that disappointing 2016 season in which the Horns missed the postseason.
