Last week saw a successful beginning of the 2018 high school football season for several future Longhorns. Hudson Card led his Lake Travis team to a win in his first start at quarterback after a 210-mile drive north to Arlington. Future tight end Jared Wiley likewise had a wildly successful debut at QB for his school, and current and future QB Roschon Johnson picked up right where he left off at the end of his very productive junior year.
Speaking of Johnson, he’ll be involved in this season’s first game involving opposing Longhorn commits when his Port Neches-Groves team hosts Huntsville and defensive lineman commit T’Vondre Sweat tonight.
