The night before the Texas Longhorns lost to archrival Oklahoma, the first commit of their 2020 recruiting class, Hudson Card, led his Lake Travis team to a one-point win against their archrival, Austin Westlake. In the days following that game it was reported that Card had suffered a toe injury that might or might not cost him the rest of his senior season. More on that below.
After last week’s action, eight of the Longhorns’ 28 total football commits have yet to lose a game this fall, and some of them may be only one win away from clinching a playoff spot and ensuring that their team will still be playing at least mid-way into November.
