Last week provided some exciting games involving the Texas Longhorns’ 2019 recruiting class, and that was before they got to watch and react to UT’s dramatic win over Oklahoma in the Red River Showdown on Saturday afternoon.
Current quarterback and future tight end Jared Wiley threw a game-winning touchdown pass in triple-overtime against a nearby rival school, Roschon Johnson scored the winning points for his team with less than two minutes left in regulation, Demariyon Houston’s team needed a last-second goal-line stand to get a win in a re-match against their state championship opponent from last season, and Jake Smith scored five second half TDs and turned a halftime deficit into a comfortable win for his team by taking direct snaps out of a Wildcat look.
