National Signing Day (Feb. 5) started out in a weird fashion for the 2020 Texas football recruiting class, with one of their key targets announcing his commitment decision early in the morning. Texas lost out on the race to land three-star fast rising Duncanville cornerback Ennis Rakestraw when he announced his decision as one of the first prospects to do so on National Signing Day.
The Texas Longhorns football program lost Rakestraw to the former Big 12 foe Mizzou Tigers. He picked Mizzou over two programs that were considered to be the favorites to land him, including the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Longhorns.
