It’s safe to say that this year’s NFL Draft was yet another success for the Texas Longhorns.
That’s because Texas football saw 12 recent former players be selected across the NFL Draft’s seven rounds. This year’s result was enough to break the record the Longhorns set last year, as the program saw 11 of its former players land with NFL teams via the draft.
From Texas Athletics:
“The Horns had 17 picks in 1984, and 12 in 1982, but those drafts went 12 rounds. By comparison, through seven rounds in those years, UT had 10 in 1984 and nine in 1982.
