Texas football is already known as one of the most valuable programs in the nation year in and year out. According to USA Today, the Longhorns topped the revenue list for every Division 1 school in the nation for 2017. USA Today also covered how long the Horns have been at the top of the revenue game. Texas was also the school that generated the most revenue for the 2012 fiscal year.
Behind the Horns in the revenue rankings is the in-state rival Texas A&M Aggies. Both Texas and Texas A&M had more than $210 million in revenue for the 2017 fiscal year.
