Texas football put together a complete effort on both sides of the ball to best the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and head coach Skip Holtz in the 2019 regular season opener. But it won’t be long until Texas is back at it with a premier non-conference opponent coming to the Forty Acres with the No. 6 ranked LSU Tigers squaring up on Sep. 7.
For Texas, getting the win over Louisiana Tech in easier fashion than head coach Tom Herman was able to do in the past two season openers was the main task at hand. Looking forward to the primetime Week 2 showdown against LSU was the wrong move on this occasion.
