Christmas Day 2019 came and went and the Texas football program is just five days away from kicking off the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 31 against the No. 11 ranked Utah Utes. Texas somehow limped into the Alamo Bowl this year with a subpar record of 7-5 (5-4 Big 12). Meanwhile, Utah was possibly one off game away from notching a berth in the College Football Playoff field.
Utah finished off their regular season slate with a record of 11-2 (8-2 PAC-12), after a loss to the Oregon Ducks 37-15 in the PAC-12 Championship Game. Their other loss from the regular season came at the hands of head coach Clay Helton and the USC Trojans.
