At this point of spring camp for the Texas football program, we’re about halfway through the drills phase. We’re also about halfway through the second week of spring practice in full pads as of March 27. This is a pivotal time to get extra reps before it matters most. Generally it’s better to get the key reps now and let younger players get more acclimated with some type of rhythm in place for fall camp.
Since the Texas football program already has so much talent on campus from the elite 2019 signing class, spring camp becomes even more important for the coaching staff.
