The schedule ahead for Texas football in 2019 stacks up pretty tough through and through. Texas football fans should be excited for what’s ahead, though. There’s just enough nationally relevant games on tap for the fans base to be significantly excited about, but there’s little to no points where the Big 12 slate becomes a gauntlet.
At worst, Texas gets the LSU Tigers, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Oklahoma Sooners, and West Virginia Mountaineers in Morgantown over the course of five weeks. That is a difficult yet very manageable slate to open up the 2019 regular season.
Get through that with one or no losses and Texas will have a legitimate shot to be the top team in the conference standings heading into the Big 12 Championship Game.
