A devastating end to a game for Texas football that gave them plenty of chances to win was hard to swallow for fans on the Forty Acres. Texas wound up falling short in an absolute thriller on Sep. 7 at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium to a strong opponent out the SEC West.
Despite a solid effort on both sides of the ball from the No. 6 ranked LSU Tigers, Texas did their best to stay in the game and pull out the win in the end. Yet, head Texas football coach Tom Herman saw his defense falter on numerous occasions against this revamped and stellar LSU offense under former New Orleans Saints offensive analyst Joe Brady and offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger.
