The most notable loss to the 2021 Texas football recruiting class early this week actually came on May 4, when head coach Tom Herman saw four-star Flower Mound-Marcus pro-style quarterback Garrett Nussmeier fall to the SEC foe LSU Tigers. Head coach Ed Orgeron and the defending National Champion LSU have taken both Nussmeier and four-star in-state defensive end Landon Jackson from Texas’ grasp.
Another prospect that the Texas Longhorns football program offered for their 2021 recruiting class that is a talented defensive back that they missed out on four-star 6-foot and 190 pound Bloomingdale cornerback Philip Riley to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
