The finalist schools for a number of key targets of the 2021 Texas football recruiting class dropped entering a down week in the news cycle. And maybe the best prospect that Texas was able to stay in the running back that was dropped in the last week was four-star Mater Dei cornerback Jaylin Davies. The Santa Ana, CA, native Davies has attention coming from all over the country at this point.
Head coach Tom Herman and the Texas Longhorns football program shouldn’t let Davies out of their sights. He included the Longhorns amid his top seven finalist schools, which he dropped on his Twitter timeline on March 23.
