Texas football just wrapped up the first day of fall practice on the afternoon of Aug. 2. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian hit the Frank Denius Field for the first day of actual training camp reps exactly one month ahead of the 2023 regular season opener on Sep. 2 at home at DKR against the Rice Owls.
After a long offseason, Sark and the Longhorns got back to practice ahead of a season with high expectations in the final year in the Big 12. Texas was picked atop the preseason Big 12 media poll. Essentially all the major Vegas sportsbooks also peg Texas as the clear favorite to win the Big 12 this fall.
