Heading into the fall, Texas football is building ample momentum on the recruiting trail. Texas is trending up in the 2024 class late this summer after landing a commitment from the elite five-star Duncanville edge rusher Colin Simmons. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian landed their “must-get” recruit in the 2024 class when Simmons gave his pledge on Aug. 10.
The job is far from done on the recruiting trail for Sark and the Longhorns staff in the 2024 class, though, heading into the fall. Texas still has a little less than half of the spots reserved for high school recruiting in the 2024 class to fill out before the Early Signing Period in mid-December.
