Entering the weekend of the Big 12 opener back on Sep. 25, new head coach Steve Sarkisian and Texas football were looking to get off on the right foot and answer some of the question marks that emerged after the bad road loss to Arkansas. Granted, that road loss to Arkansas back on Sep. 11 doesn’t look so bad anymore for two reasons.
The first is that Sark and the Longhorns just didn’t have the quarterback situation figured out at that point. Now, some blame has to go back to Sark and his staff for not adjusting earlier in that loss to Arkansas to not move to redshirt junior quarterback Casey Thompson earlier in place of sophomore Hudson Card.
