The situation with the Texas football program and rising junior quarterback Sam Ehlinger after the Orange-White Game on April 13 looked dire if this happened last off-season. Ehlinger didn’t have a great outing in his third spring football game on the Forty Acres, but there were multiple reasons why.
We can’t jump the gun regarding one disappointing game that is essentially a scrimmage for the Texas football program. The Orange-White Game was much more important for other members of this Texas football quarterback room like Casey Thompson and Roschon Johnson than it was for Ehlinger.
In general, this spring football game was actually more concerning for groups like the second team offensive line and the receiving corps than it was for Ehlinger.
