The Alamo Bowl is approaching quickly for the Texas football program, against the two-loss and No. 11 ranked Utah Utes, with a huge chance to prove themselves and nab their eighth win of the season. Texas has a lot to take care or before the Alamo Bowl arrives on Dec. 28, but there’s reason to believe they can head into the offseason with momentum.
But Texas certainly didn’t finish out the regular season on the right foot. They rounded out the regular season with a record of 7-5 (5-4 Big 12). And Texas was one of the most disappointing teams so far, entering the preseason as a top 10 ranked squad in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll.
