Texas football landed just one running back signee through the 2018 recruiting cycle, but the program did get a quality upgrade in the backfield still. It would’ve been nice to have more than one incoming freshman running back for the 2018 campaign, but landing the sixth best at this position in the nation for the 2018 cycle is still huge.
That sixth ranked 2018 running back in the nation is four-star Carthage, TX, native Keaontay Ingram. As a top 15 prospect out of the state of Texas and nearly a top 150 overall 2018 prospect in the nation, Ingram will be one of the most talented rushers on the roster this fall.
